Agri poppe

We offer a solution to the many challenges encountered during potato harvesting in various types of soil with our revolutionary potato harvesting system. Our patented AP-LIFT system improves harvesting on heavy clay, loose peat, steep hills, and stony soil, among other conditions. By mechanically cutting off and pulling the potato ridges inward with the discs, the problem of excessive or insufficient thrust is eliminated. Additionally, the AP-LIFT system prevents foliage from getting around the chisels, which can cause blockages.

Our new system can be installed on nearly any existing towed or self-propelled two-row and four-row harvester with minimal modifications. AVR Spirit 8200

After customizing our first customer’s AVR Spirit 8200, a field test was conducted to verify all the functionalities of our system. The keen observers will notice the presence of diabolo rollers instead of the probes we use on other machines. This design choice makes it possible to dig potatoes with leaves without removing the leaves. The pressure control system exerts minimal pressure on the potato ridges.

AMAC ZM2

The AMAC ZM2 is equipped with the AP-LIFT and AP-LEVEL system. The video clearly shows that the harvesting depth can be easily adjusted from the cabin without having to get out. This allows the driver to always maintain the perfect harvesting depth.

AVR Solanum 4-rijige rooier

One of the most frequently asked questions is whether the AP-LIFT system fits on a 4-row potato harvester. To answer this question, we equipped this special AVR Solanum model, which has two independent intakes, with four hydraulically driven discs. This gives this machine a large harvesting capacity.

Dewulf 3060

The 3060 is a much-seen harvester in the Low Countries. The harvester as seen in the film is used on a wide variety of soil types from light soil to heavy clay. This experience allows us to offer increased harvesting capacity to our future customers.

Insurance of harvesting capacity

Loonbedrijf Wisse, located in Meliskerke, is known for its innovative and dynamic approach. An important part of their offerings is the potato harvest, for which their machinery fleet includes two Dewulf 3060 potato harvesters and an AVR Puma 4.0. For the 2023 harvest season, one of the Dewulf 3060 harvesters will be equipped with the AP-LIFT system. This will facilitate harvesting in both the clay soils of Walcheren and the soils of North Beveland, ensuring a reliable and high-quality harvest.

Challenges are opportunities to grow

At MTS Wisse, various crops are cultivated, including grains, various types of cabbage, root vegetables, seed potatoes, and approximately 40 hectares of consumption potatoes. Previously, the potatoes were harvested using a familiar Kverneland machine, but for the past few years, a unique 6-wheeled AVR Solanum has been used. Several modifications have already been made to this 4-row machine with an independent intake, but the harvesting process is still not always flawless.

To eliminate all worries for the upcoming season, our AP-LIFT system has been chosen. It is also an exciting challenge for us since a 4-row machine was planned for next year. However, due to significant interest, it was decided to equip a 4-row harvester with the AP-LIFT system this year already. Together with MTS Wisse, we are taking a big step in the development of AP-LIFT and demonstrating its potential for 4-row harvesters.

Simple, user-friendly and maintenance-free

We present the new design of the AP-LIFT system, which we have been working on hard this winter. This simpler, lighter and maintenance-free design no longer has lubrication points and can be fully assembled, disassembled and adjusted with just one 19-24 wrench, improving ease of use and efficiency while reducing the risk of errors or accidents. The new design of the AP-LIFT system is therefore an important step forward.

No more gambling on good weather

The Geerse family grows consumption potatoes in both heavy and light soil and have decided not to gamble on good weather in the autumn of 2023. The AP-LIFT system is built on the AMAC ZM2, so that this machine can be used in all circumstances for years to come.

Chris Geerse has been in the potato industry for over 40 years, part of which as a potato buyer for McCain. He firmly believes that the AP-LIFT system is the solution to many of the harvesting problems he encountered along the way. Mainly because the potato bed is not pressed down by the diabolo rollers, which leads to clogging and clod formation in the clay under wet conditions. Furthermore, leaves and stems can no longer get around the chisels and the digging web remains above the ground, resulting in higher efficiency and less wear.

Only the highest quality

Janis de Witte is an award winning potato farmer that puts quality at first. Therefore, he purchased the first AP-LIFT system for his AVR Spirit 8200. This way he can harvest in the most challenging circumstances while reducing the chance of damage, and preventing congestions during the 2023 season.  

Sticky clay

Because the AP-LIFT system actively pushes the potato ridges inward and spreads them over the belt at an adjustable speed, it is easy to lift downhill. Furthermore, the AP-LIFT system requires 80% less pulling force compared to the fixed chisels. As a result, it is still possible to lift uphill in difficult circumstances. Because only one fifth of the tractive force is needed, light tractors can be used, which is beneficial for the soil structure. Moreover, for offset harvesters, the reduction in pulling force prevents the tractor from slipping into the potato ridges. 

Hills

The AP-LIFT technology has been developed on the heavy Dutch clay, where it solves the problem of clogging the digging beak. This saves a lot of time and effort in freeing the digging unit. In addition, the AP-LIFT system does not use diabolo rollers, so that the potato ridges are lifted in without compacting, and thus forming clods.
